Budd Hopkins once stated in response to Carl Sagan’s assertion that ‘Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence’, that ‘Extraordinary evidence requires extraordinary investigation’.
Our investigation into Rendlesham has become rather extraordinary, and it seems likely that in will only get more so. Since (date of last communique) our work has proceeded at a steady pace, but there is much left to do. We have uncovered and verified a number of significant findings. We have processes underway to uncover and verify information we have strong leads on. And we are busy trying to correlate all of it into a coherent story. Even so, we are now ready to announce a date and a venue where we will first present our complete findings.
Time and circumstance has slowly shifted our intentions regarding public disclosure of what was an intensely personal set of events for both John and I. To begin with, we both honor the spirit and the letter of our security oaths. We have only gone on record in public in an attempt to correct distorted information released about Rendlesham up through 1993. We have been limited in our ability to do this because of the inexplicable nature of what we experienced and a concern that we would not be believed, nor our story accepted unless we could back up our statements. And that was difficult. Recently, our investigation has taken us to new level of understanding and we have evidence to back our case. A picture is starting to form that sets the record straight, exonerates some who have been castigated and reveals the truth — to the extent we can define it — about what happened over three decades ago in the midst of a Cold War. Out of respect to the United Kingdom and its citizens, our policy has been to make major releases of our findings exclusively in the U.K. In keeping with that policy, we have decided it is only right to first release the most recent of our findings at Woodbridge, England, the place where our investigation started, half a lifetime ago.
Thus we are announcing our joint appearance on Saturday June 16, 2012 at the Woodbridge Community Hall as part of The Rendlesham Forest 2012 Conference, which will also include Larry Warren, Peter Robbins and a special appearance by Travis Walton. We will deliver at that time what we feel is the most comprehensive and accurate overview of the incident, its origin and the complicated series of versions released. At the moment we are still deeply involved in the process of following leads, interviewing witnesses, verifying evidence, correlating data and making a case — just as we would in any police investigation. Thus we ask your continued patience with our general silence on the matter until we can put the full story together for presentation. We can say with some certainty at this point that the full story is unexpected by most. It will challenge various belief systems as to the ‘explanations’ that have been put forward for the phenomena witnessed by many and reported by few.
The answers have astonished us, and we fully expect them to astonish all who attend. We believe that the effect of learning the full story on anyone who attends will be much like the effect of the experience upon John and I on that December night in 1980. We walked into Rendlesham Forest believing in a defined reality that gave us a basis to conduct our daily lives. We left saying what we once believed is no more and what we have just experienced defies all that we have ever imagined. Our reality shifted during our encounter. For many, their reality will shift once we lay out all of our evidence. All that you have ever known about UFOlogy — at least the aspect of it popularly associated with Rendlesham — will be up for question and revision. We intend to clarify what really happened and why, both at Rendleham and at other venues. We can only do this thanks to the involvement of witnesses whom are only ready to come forward at this comfortable distance from the event. We will do a presentation which, through the art of graphics technology, you will be able to see what we saw on those nights. And we will present our analysis which will account for all of the credible, truthful accounts.
After the presentation, we will do Q & A with the attendees. We will end the presentation with a walk through of the events of that night in real time. We will take attendees back in time thirty one years. You will be able to put into perspective the conversations and the route of travel for us. We hope to see those of you who can attend at this event and we look forward to setting the record straight. For those of you in the United States, we are exploring the possibility of assembling an air travel package. In addition to our event, we are looking into arranging tours that might be of interest to places such as Stonehenge or the summer crop circle phenomenon.
What may be offered will depend strictly upon the level of interest. If you are interested in a group travel bargain and/or guided tours beyond the Rendlesham 2012 Conference, let us know as soon as possible via Facebook PM, so that we can gauge interest and decide if it will allow us to offer a package.
In the meantime, we ask two things: Avoid undue speculation and bear with us as we work through the time-consuming tasks of verifying our evidence and leads. Let us continue our investigation in an orderly manner. And, for all our fellow service men and women who were directly affected or observed the event who have not — for any of a number of fully justifiable reasons — spoken out on this event, contact us directly and privately and add your piece of truth to our developing understanding. We will respect your privacy and assure confidentiality if you continue to wish to remain off the public record. The more verification we can get of who was actually where, when and what they witnessed, the easier it will be to sift dis-information from information, a major complication in our task. We encourage those willing to stand with us for fairness, justice and the truth to consider coming forward at that time in a collective effort to put the falsehoods and distortions to rest and give the world an accurate account of a truly astonishing series of events that have the potential to shift everyone’s notions of the nature of reality as our notions of the nature of reality were so dramatically shifted in 1980.

Hi John if your reading this, , I admire yourself, Jim & Larry for keeping momentum in this important case. It must be challenging at times and the public need to understand that you got involved in the case just for simply doing your duty on those December nights, rather than by choice. On another note, I find it a little odd that Col Conrad decided to speak out about the case after 30 years ? actions speak louder than words ! An appearance this june at Woodbridge would be fantastic, I will keep that date in my diary & see if I can make it (I live in the North East of England).
