In late December 2010 James Penniston & John Burroughs revisited Rendlesham Forest to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Incident. During their visit they took time to thoroughly inspect the whole area of the incident.
James Penniston & John Burroughs walked the forest, both in the day and at night, to find the location of the night one ‘landing’ as they felt that the commonly recognised site was incorrect.

After walking through the forest day and night on December 25-26, 2010, John Burroughs did not feel that the site at the centre of the farmers field, now marked with a picnic table, and UFO signs, was correct. He remembered that he and Jim Penniston could only see Orfordness Lighthouse beacon after they moved across a short field and past a farm house. At the modern site marked by a picnic table and UFO signs, there is a farm house straight across an open field. Then there is a second, larger house to the right and then we realised there was a third farmhouse at the eastern end of the finger of trees.
we Drove by the third farmhouse on the street side and could see animals there. In His memory, and December 1980 Statement, John Burroughs described hearing noises “like a woman screaming” Jim Penniston remembers farmyard animal sounds and deer running straight towards him when he and John were walking into Rendlesham Forest trying to follow the aerial lights from the tall forest trees and ran into a small open field next to a larger field.
During daylight on December 27th, Jim and John think they found the area in Rendlesham Forest where Jim Touched the symbols on the black glassy, triangular craft. From the rolling, fern-covered forest floor, they walked down a forest berm straight east only a few yards. They came to the first wire fence and a few feet further a second wire strand fence that Jim remembers tripping over, falling to the ground and John helped him back up. The second wire fence runs along the western edge of Capel green and the big farm field
The two had been a little further back in the forest [from my photos - admin] where Jim seemed to be taken over by recall of their encounter on December 26, 1980.

I had memory tampering originally with that landing site. Thank God for Johns statement. It led us right to the site. Three hour walk of course. I cant believe the United States who was obviousely covering where it landed. Did all the work of sodium penathol with many, and they left John statement intact. Amazing.

Translation – We tried to change the location of the ‘Landing’ site so it no longer lined up with the Farmhouse and Lighthouse.
